How to Fix M5 Error Code on a DENAGO

Denago in Lava color

What Does M5 Error Code Mean?

The M5 error code on certain golf carts may indicate an issue with the fuse connected to the motor controller. A damaged or blown fuse can interrupt electrical power and prevent the golf cart from operating properly.

How to Fix M5 Error Code
If the M5 error is caused by a faulty controller fuse, follow these steps:

Step 1: Turn Off the Golf Cart
Turn off the vehicle and disconnect the battery power according to the manufacturer’s safety instructions before performing any electrical repairs.

Step 2: Locate the Motor Controller
The controller location depends on the golf cart’s seating configuration:

* Forward-Facing Seat Models: The controller is located underneath the rear seat.
* 2+2 and 4+2 Models: The controller is located underneath the golf cart, between the second and third seating rows.

Step 3: Remove the Old Fuse
Once you have access to the controller, locate the fuse attached to it. Using the appropriate wrench, carefully loosen the mounting bolts and remove the old fuse.

Step 4: Install a New Fuse
Replace the faulty fuse with a new one of the same type and manufacturer-specified amperage rating. Securely tighten the mounting bolts.

Step 5: Test the Golf Cart
Reconnect the battery power, turn on the golf cart, and check whether the M5 error code has disappeared. If the faulty fuse was the cause, the golf cart should return to normal operation.

What If the M5 Error Code Doesn’t Go Away?

If the M5 error code remains after replacing the fuse, there may be an additional issue with the motor controller, wiring, or electrical connections.
If the problem persists, we recommend contacting your local authorized golf cart dealer for professional diagnostics and repair.

Important: Always follow proper electrical safety procedures when working with golf cart controllers and high-voltage battery systems.
