Club Car at Coastal Carts RMV: A Guide to the Lineup

Before you ask which Club Car to buy, ask which kind. Coastal Carts RMV carries different Club Car models with top speeds from 17 to 25 mph, and they split into three groups: personal transport, street-legal vehicles and utility workhorses. Pick the group first and the choice gets much easier.

Personal transport: the Onward family

Onward is Club Car’s answer for the course, the neighborhood and everything in between. Most versions are rated at 18 to 19 mph.

  • Onward 2 Passenger has a Monsoon Canopy top that channels water away from passengers, plus a spacious bagwell and extra interior storage.
  • Onward 4 Passenger is built for families and comes with dozens of customization options.
  • Onward Lifted 4 Passenger is engineered for added stability and predictable handling.
  • Onward 6 Passenger offers ample legroom and cup holders for longer rides.
  • Onward HP uses AC-drive technology for more power, torque and acceleration.
  • Onward HP Li-ION adds lithium-ion power and can be built to order, with your choice of color, seats, wheels and drive modes.

Street legal: Villager and CRU

Two models are sold as road-ready.

  • Villager 2+2 LSV seats four and is rated at 23 mph.
  • CRU is a six-seat neighborhood electric vehicle with a top speed of 25 mph. Few road-ready carts carry this many people, which makes it the standout of the lineup.

A word of caution. Street legal does not mean legal everywhere. Before you buy a CRU, request current availability, an itemized quote and confirmation of the requirements for your intended route.

Utility: the XRT series

These carts are built for property, ranch and worksite.

  • XRT 800 is a compact two-seater, available in gas or electric, rated at 17 mph.
  • XRT 1550 has a stronger drivetrain and is rated at 25 mph.
  • XRT 1550 SE carries the same toughness into a four-passenger crew setup.

What sets Club Car apart

Club Car points to an aircraft-quality aluminum frame, LED headlights and turn signals, and a 7-inch dash. The accessory list is long: a premium sound bar, an overhead console, a Homelink garage door opener, a receiver hitch and a rear locking trunk.
